| Operating Outside the
Current Paradigm |
We live in a world where relationships
are hard work, disposable, painful, and just plain not worth
it. We react from our emotions and make others suffer while
we insist on being right about both big and little things.
Inside this context / paradigm we are expected to create lasting
and loving relationships…forget it!
Whether we realize it or not
we are affected by this paradigm throughout our lives. That’s
true whether we like it or not and whether we think so or
not. When this context or paradigm is unseen by us and not
acknowledged or not intervened into we have the results we
are living with today.
Our work is designed to make
this aspect of our lives conscious and accessible so that
we can recognize how it affects us in the way we relate with
the people in our lives, including ourselves.
Yes, there are positive aspects
of our relationship paradigm as well. These are what we are
striving to achieve and live from because the “negative”
aspects dominate the way we relate. Developing these “positive”
characteristics takes attentive and purposeful effort and
practice.
For now, and until our current paradigm fully shifts, we can
bring about satisfying and fulfilling relationships by operating
outside of our current paradigm and individually bringing
about that shift in our lives and impacting the lives of those
we touch. Our practices are designed to intervene in our current
paradigm. They give us the keys to creating “partnerships”
with everyone in our lives.
